But wait, what does that mean for the endings? *head explodes*
Nice work in any case. The expression on his face is kinda frightening; it evokes very strong emotion. I found Javik a very interesting character, a far cry from the stereotype of the enlightened, pacifistic, ancient alien race.
I, ah... am looking forward to any ME3-related work you choose to produce. Before the game came out, I was talking with a friend of mine about it and she said: what if Bioware screw it up at the last hurdle? I said: it's okay, I'll just read whatever Sinvraal writes about it, and that'll make it better, and my friend nodded and said that's what she'd do too. I realise it may be fatuous to then say "but no pressure"... but no pressure. Seriously. It's just a mark of how much we've enjoyed all the amazing fan work you've produced up to this point.
One of the things I love about Javik is he breaks our romantic view of the protheans. He's a great dark mirror for Shepard, the Shepard from the previous cycle made bitter and angry by a lifetime of desperate war. He's a contrast, a foil, bringing the cruel but efficient calculus of survival to the table even if you don't agree with him. A very effective character.
Aw, thanks. Actually, it's just what I needed to hear right now. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by life and negativity (nothing serious, just life being life) right now, so that's really just nice to hear. I'm working on writing the next story- like always, I'm slower out of the gate than most, but I'm getting the engine back up to speed and working out exactly how I want to resolve everything.
I think that's the best description of Javik's character I've ever read. A dark mirror for Shepard...
I've been saying a similar thing myself about how I absolutely love the fact that Javik utterly and completely shatters our previous idolized view of the Protheans. You worded it far better, though.

Awesome artwork too. It fits him.
